Enfield Bullet iconically romancing Indian movies in 2020 & beyond

Despite the entry of all international super bikes in India, the Enfield Bullet rules over others as the symbol of power ~ Romancing the Indian cinema.

I was wondering if the arrival of a lot of super-duper bikes in India made the Indian movie audience move away from the Enfield Bullet as "The Motorbike" compared to my previous blog in 2011. Not yet and never will, it seems.

Most in India who have grown up watching Hindi movies will definitely remember the hero on a motorbike ... it had to be a Royal Enfield Bullet. (Always wear a helmet and safety gear while on motorbikes)

Of course, I personally can't imagine Amitabh Bachan riding a 150cc fat fati Rajdoot which used to always seem like gasping for dear breath! Now that's something that's real undigestable. The hero on an Enfield Bullet reflects sheer power through its classic iconic status.

Notably starting from the 1975 movie Sholay featuring Amitabh and Dharmendra on the Bullet, now 45 long years down the line even if we just look at recent movies, we can see the Enfield featured prominently.

Take a look - Kabir Singh movie December 2019

Or these ... down the last couple of years ... Badri or Dabangg for that matter

It's the Royal Enfield Bullet all the way ...

Indian Movies featuring Enfields in 2011's

+ Ajay Devgan in 'Singham'
+ Katrina in 'Zindagi Na Milega Dobaara'
+ Arbaaz Khan in 'Dabangg'
+ Kangana in 'Tanu weds Manu'
+ Gul Panag in 'Turning 30'

Iconic Bullet ... From 1975..Sholay...

Just goes to prove that even with the Harley's, Triumph's and Ducati's available in India, the Enfield Bullet continues its supreme reign over Indian movie audiences. Probably, other bikes are not able to match the iconic road presence and the feeling of sheer power in Indian minds - that a Bullet brings.

Indian movie buffs need the Bullet for the iconic power - On or Off screen it seems :)

Cheers

Can i play with madness - riding in the rain

Monsoon started full blast and you get the feeling to go all out and get wet! When you got to go..you just go !!! Didn't think if the petrol tank was full ( can catch a petrol pump on the way).My wife accompanied me. Enjoyed the thumping Royal Enfield Bullet ride, amazing droplets hitting the face and the bike splashing water all across .... lovely! :)

And then the bike engine stops - in the rain. Perfect day eh?

My Bullet has never let me down all the 15 years! It always gets started.Trust. However, my wife did give the Bullet a push for the first time in her life trying to get it started :)

Humanity is alive still! Thanks to the guy who lent me some petrol and refused Paytm. Thanks to Shehzad for telephonic troubleshooting. Another guy who stopped to offer to find a mechanic and did come back and tell me the mechanic location a kilometer away. Thank you !! :)

But hey... remember the Bullet never lets me down and it gets started amazingly - and wow ... we are back to riding and splashing in the rain back to home.

Great day! Amazing fun. Try playing with madness ( But have enough petrol ;)

Cheers!

Riding solo

Riding solo

Motorbiking with friends is always welcome and it feels great to know that someone is there to help out in the case of a flat tire, engine problems or whatever. Friendly assurance and peace of mind- So nice isn’t it?

To experience the real thrill and spirit of motor biking, take off on a solo ride. Cut the threads that bind you. Burn the dependencies. Free yourself. Just you, your motorbike, your issues, and your route – You command yourself. No strings at all. Just pack and take off. Preferably don’t plan much – some high-level directions and know the dusk stoppage point.

As you take off solo, you will immerse yourself in the elements of risk to be managed by yourself and probably share the new company of loneliness. You will emerge with improved confidence. Riding along, your issues and worries are likely to float into your thought train. Get a grip and do not let it distract and you could get solutions, new insights, and perspectives.

Solo riding is not as bad as you think. It will make you realize that the world is a friendlier place. Ride off to the rural areas, far off from the maddening materialistic city life. Appreciate the curious looks of what and why of people around you. Seek assistance and see how glad people are to be of help. It will reassure you of human values and humanity. Stop. Go out of your way to help someone. As you take rest at dusk, you can introspect and also wonder what to do with time. Probably it’s not passing at the same speed as before.

This is a motivational article on solo motorbike riding which can be a very rewarding experience besides giving each one their personal space and time. If you are kick started on it, other things like riding safe and keeping dear ones informed will easily fall in place.

Take care of your motorbike and it will take care of you as well. So when do you start?

Ride safe.

Cheers!

The milkman's favorite - only Enfield Bullet

Challenges have made motorbiking attractive. The Enfield Bullet cast iron engine bike 'had' many factors which made it very desirable .. left side brakes , kick starting it with pressure adjustment, the maintenance, balancing it, not too perfect braking  etc... and of course not forgetting the iconic 'thump' of the engine and the Status symbol.

The new enfield bullets of course... button start and zoom away :)

I chanced upon a milkman on a new Bullet. Apparently come what may to the Indian market .. Ducati, Triumph, BMW, doodhwala (milkman's)  ka favorite is the Bullet still !

Cheers!
